Just like that, the 1st biennial (maybe) Troy Union Cardboard Challenge has come and gone. The memories, however, will last forever! Today was definitely an exciting one (for students, teachers, and parents alike!). It was a great day to be a child with an imagination and a love for creation! With their creative minds, boxes and duct tape turned into a real life arcade with tickets pouring out from cut out circles and smiles and laughter to be heard around the building. Teachers beamed with smiles from ear-to-ear at the synergy, the perseverance, and the joy these finished products bought to each of their children. Parents came in to help cut or they watched from their phones on their lunch break...but either way, I know they were just as proud as us! Thank you, Mr. Cottone for bringing this challenge to both our students and our staff. Thank you to the one and only Caine who's the original Cardboard Arcade genius for inspiring the WORLD to follow in your footsteps! Thank you to Mrs. Bellhorn's class who came in and showered us with compliments and praise and for inviting us in to their classroom to enjoy their awesomeness! And, thank you to all the families who donated all the cardboard, the duct tape, and the time to make today possible! Our kiddos may be building pinball machines today...but they'll be building our future very soon. Let's just hope it's not out of cardboard! :)
Check out the video of our day...and the photos below! 'Til next time!
